Got a car service, and a bulb changed. Excellent service , everyone was fun and friendly. It was very well priced, and they had it all done while I was at work. I'd highly recommend them.

I strongly recommend avoiding this place. If there was a minus 5 rating, I would give it. The guys, seeing that I was not local, completely brazenly ripped off quite a bit of money from me, and treated the repair of my car very irresponsibly. I arrived in Dublin on October 18, on business, my car broke down. It was the nearest garage. I called there and made an appointment. I myself told them the reason for the breakdown; my fuel hose was leaking. The guys looked at the car, They said the car would be ready in an hour. Half an hour later they called and said the car was ready. The guys installed a new hose, but instead of a fuel hose they installed a regular water hose. They charged me 68 euros to replace this 10 cm long hose. This ordinary water hose consumed the fuel before I got home. It turned into plastic, the remaining plastic went into the fuel system. The car is now broken and I am facing expensive repairs because of these guys. Don't go there, especially if you are going there for the first time.

Brought my car to Sweeneys on Bridgefoot Street last week for a second opinion and thank god i did as they found some pretty worrying issues that a previous garage missed. The lads looked after me and sorted everything out within 24hours and kept me updated every step of the way via videos and phone calls. Dropped in again this morning just to have them check something for piece of mind and again, the service was impeccable. Safe to say they have found a new long time customer.

First took my car to Sweeney's when the clutch went on High Street, and they had it fixed within a couple of hours. I've been going back since for breakdowns and services and Ash has always been super helpful and willing to explain everything. After a few bad experiences with garages in Dublin, it's nice to find one I feel like I can trust.

Ash and all the guys at Sweeney’s are absolutely fabulous! They’re all so lovely, super reasonable prices and really trustworthy. They’ve also helped me out with any little bit that’s come up, like lights, wipers etc - Daniel even helped my friend out with a minor repair she needed for a road trip she was about to head out on without charge! 100% recommend these guys for anything you might need 😊

What causes do you support?

Roundstone For Fun help raise money for cancer research and for the development of the Roundstone Community Centre.

Breast Cancer Research (formerly NBCRI) is a national charity that funds a comprehensive research programme at the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Sweeneys Garage organised a Roundstone For Fun fundraising event in August 2018, which raised €6,066 for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.

Kilnamanagh Rockets

Sweeneys Garages are one of the main sponsors of Kilnamanagh Rockets soccer club based in Dublin 24, who were founded in 1978.

Like any club or organisation, Kilnamanagh are run by volunteers and are always looking for more volunteers to help the club grow and continue to be a success.

Had opportunity to get full service done for my VW Golf yesterday. Friendly staff and were quick to cater to my needs. Pricing was quite decent compared to other garages. Satisfied with overall service and communication. However, was bit disappointed to notice the car wasn’t washed, assumed it was covered (may be wasn't). Noticed it when I returned. Will see how my car performs now and edit the post later if required.

I wouldn’t bring my car anywhere else! If I could give Ash & his team at Sweeney’s garage a 10 star review I would. From servicing our cars to emergency appointments they have helped myself and my husband out and always in a positive and non-condescending way. They send videos and keep us abreast of everything they’re doing and always explain everything to you well and clearly regardless of how much “car knowledge” you have. I can’t thank them enough for helping me out in the past and always doing an excellent job of servicing / fixing my car. I recommend them to anyone looking for quality and consistent work and I wouldn’t bring my car anywhere else, I trust them entirely!
